Egoza razor wire offers an effective method for ensuring reliable protection of a fence against digging. In addition to standard solutions such as a strip foundation or additional fence panels installed below ground level, anti-dig protection can also be achieved using cutting-and-barbed barriers made of Egoza razor wire. Typically, Egoza razor wire barriers are installed on top of a fence or another structure, and sometimes the fence itself is made from razor wire. However, nothing prevents using Egoza specifically to protect a fence from an underground breach.
Which Barriers Are Suitable for Anti-Dig Fence Protection?
Depending on the type of fence and the security requirements of the protected site, anti-dig protection may be implemented using a flat or concertina Egoza barrier, or with Piranha razor mesh.
Flat and Concertina Egoza Barriers
For any type of fence, a flat Egoza barrier is a suitable option. It can be buried more than half a meter into the ground, creating an obstacle that prevents digging under the fence by both animals and humans. If more robust protection is required, the most common type of razor barrier can be used – the Egoza concertina barrier, which is no less effective underground than above the surface. The anti-corrosion coating of Egoza razor wire ensures long service life even in moist soil conditions.
Piranha Razor Mesh
Piranha razor mesh, made from Egoza razor wire, is a universal barrier that can be used both as a fence and as protection against digging. For this purpose, a wide panel of Piranha mesh can be partially buried in the ground, creating a continuous barrier that prevents intrusion and digging. If the goal is to protect a standard fence from digging, a narrower strip of razor mesh can be installed around the perimeter and buried in the soil. In all cases, Piranha razor mesh provides reliable protection against digging and unauthorized access to any secured area.
